The add-ons, and what each one covers

Inside the fridge and the oven, step by step
These two are asked about first, so here is exactly what happens to each.
Inside the fridge
- Food set out on the counter, with anything you flagged as expired set aside for you
- Shelves and drawers lifted out and washed in the sink, then dried
- Door bins emptied and washed; the door gasket wiped fold by fold
- Interior walls, the floor of the fridge and the drip channel wiped down; freezer done the same way when you ask
- Food put back on the shelves it came from; the outside and the handle cleaned last
Inside the oven
- Racks and the storage drawer out; racks scrubbed and dried
- Loose crumbs and ash swept out of the cavity
- Walls, floor and ceiling of the oven degreased, with a second pass on baked-on spots
- Inside of the door glass cleaned so you can see the food again
- Stovetop grates, burner caps and knobs done with it if the range is gas; racks back in and a final wipe of the door edges
Laundry, beds and linens at home
Laundry as an add-on means the washer and dryer in your home run during the visit. A load goes in when we arrive, moves to the dryer partway through, and is folded before we leave. Sheets can be stripped, washed, dried and put back on the same bed in one visit if the machines keep pace. Tell us how many loads to expect, what needs cold water or air drying, and where folded clothes and clean linens go. We do not take laundry out for drop-off or dry cleaning, and we do not iron.
Basements, garages, closets and organizing
Basement and garage tidies are the add-ons with the clearest limits. What a tidy covers: floors swept, cobwebs cleared from corners and joists, shelves and box tops dusted, items grouped by type and stacked so there is a path through. What it does not cover: hauling anything away, sealing or painting a floor, standing water, mold, animal droppings or a flooded carpet, all of which are for a junk removal, waterproofing or restoration company.
Closet and pantry organizing follows the same rule. We empty, wipe, group and put back; you decide what stays and what goes, and if you want bins, labels and shelf dividers, buy them first and we will set the closet up in them. This is organizing as part of a cleaning visit, the right fit for one closet or a pantry rather than a whole house of belongings; a house full of keep-or-toss decisions is a job for a professional organizer.

On weekly or biweekly visits, one bigger extra can rotate through: the fridge this visit, the oven next month, the blinds after that, so no single visit runs long. A deep cleaning is the natural time to add the oven and fridge, and a move-out cleaning already has them. Carpets have their own service.
How to add them when you book
- Pick the main visit. In the quote form, choose regular, deep, move-in or move-out cleaning. If the extras are the whole job, choose the add-ons option instead.
- Name each add-on in the notes, with the detail that sets the time. How full the fridge is, how long since the oven was cleaned, how many blinds, how many loads of laundry.
- Get one quote for everything. The reply, with the add-ons priced into the visit, usually comes the same day by text or email.
- Change your mind before the visit. Reply to our message to add or drop something, and we send an updated quote.
Who books add-ons
- Someone hosting the holidays. The oven and the fridge the week before, and the blinds and baseboards if the in-laws are staying over.
- A new parent. Laundry and bed changes on every biweekly visit.
- A family looking after a parent's home. The fridge checked for expired food and the laundry folded on each visit.
- Anyone after a kitchen renovation. Inside every new cabinet before the dishes go back in, alongside the after-construction cleanup.
Google Ads counts for our five counties put the organizing, laundry and add-ons topic at 850 searches a month in September 2025 and again in July 2026, its two highest months, and at 540 in February 2026, its lowest (DataForSEO, pulled 19 September 2026).
What changes the time and the quote
Every add-on is a block of time on top of the visit. What moves it most:
- How much is inside. A packed fridge, pantry or closet has to be emptied and refilled; a sparse one does not.
- How long since it was last done. An oven cleaned last season is quick; one that has baked on for years is not.
- How many. Blinds and baseboards scale with the number of rooms, laundry with the number of loads and your machines' cycle times.
- Decisions and access. Organizing goes faster when someone who can say what stays is home; a garage with no clear floor takes longer.

Common questions about add-on services
Do house cleaners do laundry?
We do, as an add-on. Your laundry runs in your own washer and dryer during the visit, then gets folded and put away or left folded where you say. Nothing is taken off site, and we do not iron. Tell us how many loads to expect, which items need cold water or should skip the dryer, and where clean linens and towels belong. How many loads fit depends on your machines' cycle times and how long the visit runs.
Can you get your oven professionally cleaned, and should I run the self-clean cycle first?
Yes, inside the oven is an add-on, done by hand: racks out and scrubbed, the cavity degreased, the door glass cleaned, the drawer emptied. You do not need to run a self-clean or steam-clean cycle first; if you do, run it the day before so the oven is fully cool when we arrive, and know that those cycles leave ash behind rather than lifting grease from the glass and door edges. Tell us how long since the oven was last cleaned.
Is cleaning inside the fridge and oven part of a regular cleaning?
No, not unless you add it. A regular visit wipes appliance exteriors and cleans the microwave inside; the fridge and oven interiors are add-ons because each is a block of work on its own. Put them in the notes when you request a quote and they are priced in. Many people add them a few times a year, for example before the holidays, rather than every visit. A move-in or move-out cleaning has both built in.
Do you clean basements and garages?
We tidy them: sweep the floor, clear cobwebs, dust shelves and box tops, group and stack what is there, and wipe the laundry and utility sink area. What we do not do is haul anything away, treat mold, deal with standing water, clean up animal droppings, or seal or paint a floor; those are for a junk removal, waterproofing or restoration company. An unfinished basement with a concrete floor gets a sweep and a dusting, not a mop.
Do you clean baseboard heaters, fridge coils or the inside of appliances?
Baseboard heater covers are dusted and wiped on the outside as part of baseboards. We do not open the covers to clean the fins, pull a fridge out to vacuum its coils, open a dishwasher's filter housing, or service any appliance; those are for an appliance technician or a handyman. Inside the fridge and inside the oven mean the parts you reach with the door open: racks, shelves, drawers, bins, walls and glass.
How much do add-ons cost?
It depends on the job in front of us: how full the fridge is, how much grease is baked into the oven, how many blinds or windows, how many loads of laundry, how big the closet or garage is. Each add-on you name is priced into the free quote, so you see one total, tax shown separately, before you book.
